For as long as I can remember, something in me has wanted to give things shape. Born in Kabul, found my home in Hamburg. I experience many contradictions that strive for harmony.

My ceramics are inspired by these tensions. My professional experience in fashion design and pattern construction enables me to translate my creative energy into shaping and silhouette into an object. I like to experiment, so the shapes and structure change for me. My search for imperfection, devotion to minimalism remains central to my work.

I have been married for 27 years and have two wonderful children …and a Labrador, Coco.
